WAHM Jobs
If you’re a work-at-home mom, chances are you’d like to find work as a freelancer. I’ve scoured the ‘net to find job boards and resources to help you locate the best possible job. More job boards will be added as I discover them. If you know of a good job board or employment service that isn’t listed here, please let me know about it.
(*As with anything, be very careful. Many scammers like to fill job boards with their junk, so use your discernment when applying for a position. If someone wants you to pay anything to be considered for a job, or to buy a “kit,” run. Crazybusymama.com accepts no responsibility for any negative outcomes in your job search and, of course, does not guarantee that you will find work by following any of these links. This is a public service posting only.)

Craigslist
Spammers and scammers love Craigslist, but you’ll find plenty of legitimate jobs here, too. Like I said, be careful and alert, and use your discernment. Tip: Check each state (and each area in each state, if you have the time) for freelance jobs. Some employers may be willing to hire you even if they’re in Seattle and you live in Topeka. Don’t feel like you’re stuck with just searching for jobs in your geographical area.

PAID JOB BOARDS
Virtual Vocations
A membership site that caters to telecommuters, Virtual Vocations charges members around $15.00 per month to view their job boards. Some pretty good jobs are being posted there on a daily basis, so if you’re serious about your job search, I’d suggest you forego three lattes a month and fork over the $15. You’ll be able to afford more lattes after you land that job. There’s no penalty if you cancel your membership after you find work or if you decide VV isn’t a good fit for you.
Elance
Whether or not this is a true “job board” is something you can decide. It’s more like a job auction, I think. Elance members “bid” on jobs against thousands of other members (though, obviously, they don’t all bid on the same jobs at the same time…though it can seem that way). Register for free, and choose one category specialty for free. Registering in additional category specialties will cost you approximately $5.00 per category per month.
EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
Kelly Services
A temporary employment service. Some jobs may be freelance…you’ll just have to search the site to find them.
Manpower
Much like Kelly Services in what’s provided, but Manpower is the big dog, having placed over 5 million people in permanent and temporary positions in 2007. Breaking that down, they claim to place 312 people in jobs every minute of every day.
