Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 14.5 oz petite diced tomato
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp basil fresh
  • 4 cups beef broth low sodium
  • 12 oz lasagna noodles
  • 8 oz cottage cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese

Instructions
 

  • Brown ground beef and season with Italian seasoning and garlic while browning on skillet
  • Then add seasoned meat to to slow cooker with tomatoes, garlic and fresh basil
  • Add beef broth
  • Cook on low for 4- 6 hours
  • Break apart lasagna noodles and add to slow cooker along with cottage cheese, cover and cook on high for 45 mins
  • Once noodles are cooked stir well.
  • Add mozzarella cheese on top
  • Cover slow cooker until cheese melts
  • Serve with favorite french bread

Notes

I substitute cottage cheese for ricotta but you can absolutely use ricotta if you prefer. Try shredding your own mozzarella cheese it melts so much better and tastes incredible and this CHEESE SHREDDER makes shredding a breeze!
