In a bowl add the ingredients for the sauce and mix well- set aside
In a large wok or skillet, add oil when it's hot, add ginger, garlic, onion, and sautee till soft.
Add ground chicken and stir to separate the chicken and cook evenly.
A few minutes into cooking, add sauce mix to chicken and mix well.
Cook this till chicken is cooked well and sauce and diced water chestnuts and cook until sauce is mostly dried .
Prepare lettuce by washing and patting dry. I love to use Romaine, but you could use Ice burg or even Boston lettuce too.
Then add desired garnish- such as sesame seeds, green onion , red pepper flakes (this will add a bit of heat)
Add a spoon full of mixture into each lettuce leaf creating a wrap and serve
You can serve these already pre made with the chicken in the lettuce or serve buffet style where everyone makes a wrap as they go. Just garnishes aside for those who want to garnish.
You can add a little dash of Red pepper for garnish this will add a bit of heat to the wrap.
