I use 90% lean

rice
I use minute rice

tbsp
taco seasoning
packet of taco seasoning

water

colby jack cheese
shredded
Instructions
In a large skillet brown 1-2 lbs of ground beef
once meat is cooked add 2 tbsp of taco seasoning
then add 2 cups of minute rice along with 2 cups of water
cover and cook for 5 minutes until rice is tender
shred 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese
Put cheese on top of meat and rice and cover on low heat for about 2-3 mins until cheese melts
Once cheese melts it is ready to serve.
I love to add a few crushed Doritos at the bottom of mine to give it a crunch- this is obviously optional.
Then add desired toppings to taco rice

This recipe is also delicious with chicken and makes a great substitute to beef.
