Decorating for the holidays doesn't have to be expensive or extravagant, this simple Memorial Day Tablecape is a perfect example of that. Its practical, affordable and can be delicious too! Its so easy to put this center piece together to adorn your table or side table no matter where you display it in your house.

Isn't it simple yet elegant? You might even have most of the supplies right in your home already! If not, I did link below where you can grab the ones I am using here for my home.

We are the home of the free because of the brave and I love to deck out my home in hopes to pass on to my kids this very important ideal. In my extended family we have many who have served and are currently serving, my daddy was a veteran. His graveside is decorated each Memorial Day weekend. The American Flag is to be honored and respected and this picture makes my heart swell up with American pride. Such a powerful reminder to all of us the cost of our freedoms.

So if you are currently serving, supporting a family member serving, have served or know of someone who has paid the ultimate price I am so incredibly grateful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service! This Memorial Day, may you spend the day reflecting and teaching your kids to do the same for those who have paid the ultimate price for your freedom.

Use this time of year to show appreciation by adding a few practical things to your house or serving a dish in remembrance of those who paid that ultimate price for your freedom like this delicious AMERICAN FLAG LAYERED BEAN DIP

Ok mama, here are the details on how I put together this super cute Memorial Day Tablescape.

Ingredients/Supplies: Memorial Day Tablescape

  • 62 oz m&m's seasonal – red white and blue
  • White Flowers
  • Cookie Jar
  • Mason Jar
  • Flags
  • Lazy Susan

Instructions: Memorial Day Tablescape

  • Take a large clear cookie jar and take a mason jar and put in the center this will be for your flower vase and will allow you to not have to fill the entire cookie jar full of candy.
  • Make sure to get the large 62 oz of seasonal M&Ms as it will take nearly all of these candies.
  • Then you pour red white and blue m&m' in the cookie jar around the mason jar giving the cookie jar a full appearance. Leaving the mason jar empty so you can put the flowers in it.
  • Then place the flowers inside the mason jar and fluff them out. As mentioned in the tip, if you have a bush of flowers and take them and put them upside down and bend them in the opposite way, it gives them that perfect fluffed full look.
  • Then grab those American flags and tuck them in between the greenery and flowers. You can use as many or as few as you wish.

And here is the end result, super fun right?

Happy Memorial Day!

Crazy Busy Mama Tip:

Save on Candy- Add a mason jar or smaller jar to the larger cookie jar. This will allow you to pour red white and blue m&m' in the cookie jar around the mason jar giving the cookie jar a full appearance. Leaving the mason jar empty so you can put the flowers in it. Make sure to get the large 62 oz of seasonal M&Ms as it will take nearly all of these candies.

Prior to placing the flowers in the mason jar, take the bush of flowers and take them and put them upside down and bend them in the opposite way, it gives them that perfect fluffed full look. It's the most perfect hack for making your artificial flowers look their best!

This Memorial Day Tablescape ides is perfect for the 4th of July, Labor Day or really any day! So make sure to hang on to the supplies so you can rebuild or just leave out the entire summer season!
