Who loves those Little Debbie Star Crunch treats? They are one of my husbands favorites, so I had to try a copycat homemade version. Let me tell you mama, these are incredible! They are a must make for dessert or just for a little sweet treat!
You could even get your kids involved in the kitchen helping you making these incredible treats.
I made these Star Crunch CopyCat to be the BIG version of those trusted Little Debbies that we all know and love. Remember these boxes in the grocery store?

Ok mama, here is how I made these simple Star Crunch CopyCat treats!
Ingredients: Star Crunch CopyCat Recipe
- 8 tbsp salted butter
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 11 oz carmel bits
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 10 oz mini marshmallow
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 6 cups rice krispies
I have made these with regular vanilla extract and good high quality extract and let me tell you when you use great quality pure vanilla extract you will taste the difference. My go to for high quality pure vanilla extract is non other than SAVA I have it linked here for you! Just in case you want to check it out and try some for yourself. Highly recommended!
Instructions: Star Crunch CopyCat Recipe
- In a large skillet over medium heat add butter and allow to melt
- Once melted add cocoa powder and mix
- Then add sweetened condensed milk and mix well
- Then add caramel and stir until combined
- Add vanilla extract and stir well then add mini marshmallows and mix until melted and combined well.
- Turn heat down on stove top
- Then add rice krispies slowly while mixing together
- Once combined well, you will want to scoop them up into balls. I love using an ice cream scoop for this making about a 3 inch circle for each treat.
- and place the scoops onto wax paper to allow to cool.
- Allow treats to cool for 10 minutes and enjoy!
After they have cooled, they are ready to enjoy!
Crazy Busy Mama Tip:
You could use a smaller melon ball scooper like this and make an extra batch to set aside for school lunches, your kids will love these!You can also pop these in your fridge while cooling to help them set up quicker.
