Who doesn't love an easy throw together dessert especially for last minute entertaining? If so, you will love this easy Strawberry Short Cake. It's not only delicious it presents well too. Very little effort and it looks incredible sitting out too.

It's literally only 3 ingredients and there is no baking required. I call that a perfect Crazy Busy Mama win, especially in the heat of the summer!

You could even add some blueberries to the top and make it super festive for Memorial Day, 4th of July or Labor Day too. This would give it a nice patriotic flair! Here is how I put together this 3 ingredient Strawberry Short Cake dessert below.

Ingredients: Strawberry Short Cake Recipe

14 oz angel food cake

14 oz strawberries sliced and frozen

16 oz cool whip

Instructions: Strawberry Short Cake Recipe

Slice and core out the angel food cake

In a medium bowl, take 10 oz of frozen strawberries and mix with 8 oz cool whip and add to the angel food cake where you cored it out

Once you fill the core with cool whip topping put top of angel food cake on top and then frost it with remaining cool whip and take the remaining strawberries and put on top and around the base

Once you put together slice and look at the inside.

Crazy Busy Mama Tip:

You can do more than just strawberry, try any frozen berries or mixed berry for a variety in taste. No need to thaw out the strawberries first they will thaw inside the cake. If you prefer you can place sugar on the fruit too this will sweeten up even a bit more for you, but honestly this dessert still has incredible flavor without the extra sugar so I keep it out keeping this dessert pretty low calorie and low sugar when it comes to desserts.
