Are y'all ready for the easiest Christmas sweet treat that you and your kids can make together? These reindeer donut treats are so fun for kids of all ages to make!
There is no mixing, no baking, and *almost* no clean up. The amount of clean up required will probably depend on the age of your kiddos. 😉
I will say that when me and my girls were making these yesterday, we had pretty much zero clean up. But Mamas with toddlers, clean up from the reindeer making fun will likely look much different than ours!
But you have toddlers, so I know you are used to that! In the toddlerhood phase of being a mama, the cleaning is pretty much constant!
The fun in this treat is in the assembly! That is pretty much all there is to it!
All you need is a bag of chocolate frosted mini donuts, candy eyes, red m&m's, and pretzels!
That's it!
So clean off your counters, and gather your supplies and let's get started!
Grab a big charcuterie board or cutting board, or just line your counter with some parchment paper. This will help cut down on the crumb clean up after making the antlers!
If you don't have a big board like this, you need one! They are so versatile. We use ours almost daily! You can find one like it here!
Lay out your ingredients.
I am tempted to add in a pro tip about pre-breaking the pretzels for the little kids to save your sanity. BUT the kids will love breaking and making their own antlers. So let's just embrace the crumbs and let them be kids!
Start with a donut, and a broken pretzel. Poke two pieces of broken pretzels into the top of the donut to make the antlers.
Next, add a m&m over the hole in the donut. This is Rudolph's nose!
And lastly add those candy eyes!
Then ENJOY!
I bet Santa would love some reindeer treats too, just don't forget the milk!
And if you really want to make Santa's Christmas Eve, you could leave his milk in a National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Acrylic Moose Cup. Griswold Style! You can get yours here!
There you have it! They are ready to go!
As you can see every reindeer looks a little different, and that's the fun part! Go crazy! Make the memories and just embrace and enjoy every minute!
For those of you that love a quick video tutorial, here you go!
