If you are making for a crowd you will absolutely need a large sheet pan. This SHEET PAN SET is my favorite and it is perfect size for family sheet pan dinners like HONEY MUSTARD CHICKEN not to mention comes in super handy for all that holiday baking too.

Smoked BBQ Tachos

Ok mamas, here is how I made these scrumptious Smoked BBQ Tachos!

Ingredients: Smoked BBQ Tachos

  • 32 oz tator tots
  • 1 /2 cups cheese shredded
  • 24 oz beef smoked sausage
  • 3/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 3 tbsp green onion

Photo Instructions: Smoked BBQ Tachos

  • Preheat Oven 425

On a large sheet pan arrange tater tots to bake – you can line with parchment paper if you choose. Bake 425 for 25 mins: You will want to bake tater tots until crispy.

While the tater tots are cooking: On a cutting board, dice up smoked sausage.

Place diced up smoked sausage in a skillet and brown for 10 mins

Until the smoked sausage look like this.

Use paper towel to soak up grease in pan.

Once you have removed unwanted grease, add BBQ sauce to the smoked sausage and let it come to a simmer

And once it looks like this go ahead and turn heat down to low and prepare cheese and green onions.

Shred cheese and chop up green onions and set aside. I love my CHEESE SHREDDER that makes shredding cheese a breeze and lets just face it, it just tastes better and melts better than pre-shredded cheese.

Once tater tots are crispy take them out of the oven. Then add shredded cheese right away to the tots (reserve about 1/2 cup)

Then take the cooked smoked BBQ sausage and pour right on top of the crispy tots.

Then add remaining and cheese and garnish with green onions. These are to die for!

Don't these look amazing?

I serve these right off the sheet pan with a spatula for serving.

Every bite will be loaded with crispy savory cheesy flavors. These Smoked BBQ tachos are just bursting with flavor!

Crazy Busy Mama TIP:Smoked BBQ Tachos

You can substitute the beef smoked sausage with turkey and you can also use pre shredded cheese, I just prefer to shred my own cheese. Feel free to add diced jalapeño for a kick!
