No need to compromise Mama! You don’t have to work hard to play hard when you enjoy an easy game day recipe like this Cheese Slaw.

Cheese Slaw Ingredients:

Here is how I did it:

32 oz  Shredded Swiss Cheese (4 cups)

16 oz  Mozzarella (2 cups)

1-2 T red onion chopped small

1/2 cup pickled mild banana peppers chopped

1/2 cup pickled jalapeño peppers chopped

3 Tbsp Duke's mayonnaise (or your favorite)

Directions:

Blend all the ingredients in large bowl with a large fork. I like to use THESE bowls with lids so I when I am down mixing I can let it set up and store the remaining (if any left ) easily. Add small amounts of the Duke's mayo as you go. You don't want it dripping with mayo.  Add more banana peppers or jalapeno depending on if you like it HOT!

When it comes to shredding cheese,I love THIS cheese shredder is the best! Easy shredding and easy clean up too! Plus, I think freshly shredded cheese is best tasting. But you can use bagged too if you choose. But trust me once you start shredding your own you will be hooked! Better tasting and more affordable too!

I like to dip the slaw on blue corn chips but you can put on your favorite cracker or Frito's. I suppose you could ditch the chips all together and make this a low carb- keto friendly appetizer and serve veggies like celery with it, or maybe even pork rinds! However, you decide to serve it is great to make a day ahead of time so put the lid on it and let it sit. Or if you are just reading this on game day, put it together throw in the fridge and let it set up for at least and hour. The flavors come together better this way!

Ok Mama, Now it’s time to savor the game, share the excitement with loved ones, and celebrate victories – both on and off the field. So, kick back, relax, and let the flavors of this delicious and effortless appetizer take center stage during your next football gathering.

Enjoy!
