Ok Mamas, here is how I made this Cheesy Potato Hamburger skillet.
Ingredients: Cheesy Potato Hamburger Skillet
- 1 lb ground beef cooked
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 10.5 oz cream of mushroom
- 20 oz hashbrowns love fiesta blend simply potaotes
- 1 1/2 cups colby jack cheese
- 1/8 cup green onion garnish
Instructions: Cheesy Potato Hamburger Skillet
- In a large skillet brown up a pound of ground beef once cooked drain off any grease.
If you have a large family you are cooking for then this 5.5 Qt Saute Skillet is a must! It is the perfect size for holding all the ingredients needed for any skillet meal without spilling over.

- Add garlic powder- you can used mined too if you would like
- and cream of mushroom soup and combine well
- add hash browns and allow to cook together over medium heat for about 5 mins, if you are using frozen hash browns you will need to cook those in the skillet before you add to meat mixture. I use refrigerated ones for this reason. And love the fiesta blend.
- As that is cooking shred colby jack cheese – or any cheese you desire.
If you are not shredding your own cheese, you must try it! It is not only more flavorful it melts better too! This CHEESE SHREDDER Is so handy making shredding cheese a breeze and its also dish washer friendly which is so nice!
- Once everything is combined well and heated up turn down heat on skillet to low medium add cheese to the top and add lid for a few minutes until cheese melts.
If you have shred your own cheese this will melt nicely and won't take long so don't walk away.
- Slice up some green onion and once cheese melts
- add green onion to the top
Scoop up and serve warm

Have leftover taco meat? This is a great recipe to use it up. Just substitute the taco meat with the ground beef. When meal prepping cook up an extra pound or two of ground beef and place in airtight container labeled with date, this will help to quicken the skillet meal process.
