Grab that large Charcuterie style board. I love this wine barrel lazy susan. The wine barrel gives it a little edge so nothing accidentally falls off, and the lazy susan style is perfect for serving!
I have linked my board HERE for you along with a few others if you are looking for a new one.
You will want to start building the goal post first. I use pepper jack because we love it. But you could use any style of cheese you like. I just think the white cheese looks best. The goal post is the foundation for the board. So start with building that first. Start with the bottom post and use triangle cut cheese and layer and build. This helps to add dimension.
Then take square pieces and place side by side layering to add dimension.
As you can see at the bottom of the goal post, I cut the cheese into a rectangle just to give it a more realistic look. There are no rules with this, but I have found that layering makes all the difference as it adds dimension to your goal post and board. Once you have the goal post complete start tucking in different meats, nuts, and pickles.
Again no rules to what goes where – I like to keep my nuts at the bottom of the board. Then the crackers, pretzels and pickles towards to the top of the board, but completely up to you!
I love using baby dill pickles. But make sure after you drain them from the jar you take a paper towel and dry them off. You don't want pickle juice running everywhere!
See how fun it turned out! There is no way to mess this up! Just build from goal post as the foundation and layer with favorites from there.
Feel free to get super creative with this Football Charcuterie Board. Think of all the possibilities!
