Who else needs a delicious last-minute dinner to feed the fam? Then this Goulash recipe is perfect for you! Not only is it so yummy, it is also so easy and so quick. And it is made with ingredients that are most likely already in your pantry and freezer! This one-pot recipe for go-to Goulash has saved the day many times in my Crazy Busy Household!

Whether you got stuck in traffic, a last minute date night invitation, or the day just got away from you; you will be thankful you saved this recipe for those days when you get home and need to have dinner on the table in under 20 minutes!

Yup, you heard that right! This recipe only takes 15 minutes! That is faster (and usually cheaper) than a frozen pizza! And it's a home-cooked meal for your family! Saving time and money, for a homemade supper? YES PLEASE! Another Crazy Busy Mama win!

This was always my go-to when Q and I decided to have a last minute date night. And mamas, if you aren't dating your husband start NOW! You won't regret it! Regular date nights provide a space for you and your spouse to grow and love in a way that can often get put on the back burner when you are in the thick of a crazy busy life with kids. Don't let mom-guilt talk you out of a date with your husband. You will both be better parents and a more unified team if you invest in this time with your spouse!

Worried about spending money to date your mate? Don't! But it doesn't need to be a fancy date! If you can swing a babysitter, you could have a picnic date with a yummy homemade meal and a blanket under the stars! If you can't swing a sitter, just put the kids down early and have a date night picnic at home! Trust me y'all. Just try it. Dating your husband is so good for the soul!

Quintin and I always had a date on Tuesdays; since we worked from home it was usually while our kiddos were at school. That's why for me Tuesday will always be Queday. I'd give anything for another date with my man. But I am filling my Quedays with my kids. They have been my companions for my day dates and that has really helped all of our hearts.

So all of that to say, DATE YOUR MATE! It is more than worth it and you can do it without spending any money! I know how expensive kids are! So tonight, make this dinner with ingredients already in your kitchen and go on a date (or have a stay-date) with your husband! Start doing this and just watch how your life and marriage changes in so many wonderful ways!

This recipe is a staple in my house and I am sure your kiddos will be begging for it just like mine do! They love it!

So let's grab those ingredients and get cooking! Here is how I make my go-to Goulash….

How to make Goulash: a step-by-step guide

In a large skillet add oil and chopped onion.

Heat the skillet over medium heat and add ground beef to brown

Once beef if cooked add tomato paste, ketchup, garlic powder, paprika, and chili powder and stir

Once mixed well, add broth & bring it to a boil

I usually use this wait time to shred some cheese with my cheese grater wheel.

Just look how delicious this freshly shredded cheese looks. Let's be real, it just tastes better!

Once beef and broth mixture comes to a boil, add noodles

Lower the heat and let it simmer until the noodles are cooked through and liquid is absorbed. Usually about 10 minutes.

Add in cheese and stir until melted

Stock up on ground beef when you see it on sale! Then flatten and freeze, this will save so much time when thawing the meat!

We loved it 4/5 of our family ate it! Delicious. I did make it wrong. I forgot to add cream at the end and it extra meat so it wasnt juicy as I anticipated. But your recipe when followed correctly is amazing! ❤️ your videos help me so much! Cooking gets stressful and frustrating and becomes such an inconvenience but lately I’m trying to do better and buckle down on our food budget and your videos and recipes have helped make it worth while.

This was a yummy dinner recipe! I had pre-cooked the meat with some onions. I love how versatile it can be to swap in other leftover cooked noodles – I only used 1.5 Cups of broth & allowed to simmer.

Thank you! -Sara (Family of 6)

I had goulash growing up there was very ‘tomato-y’ and it was great but as I get older I can do the acidic tomatoes as much. It gives me heartburn. This recipe tastes amazing! I didn’t have the heavy cream so I left it out and even without it it tasted amazing. Both my kids went back for seconds! Thanks Lori!
