My Mama made this Orange Jello Salad for our family growing up and I am not sure why she called it a salad but ever since I have made it for my kids I have called this a salad too.

If you are from the midwest, you will probably call this a salad like we do however you won't find any vegetables in this salad but have no fear it has incredible taste! You can serve this Orange Jello Salad as a side to any savory meal as a perfect sweet compliment with a touch of protein in it too. My kids love this salad and every time I make it they beg me to make it again and again.

Looks delicious right? This is one you can feel good about because it does have cottage cheese in it which is a protein too! Counteracts that sweet right? LOL

This Orange Jello Salad is so easy to throw together and it takes only a few ingredients too! Here is how I did it

Ingredients: Orange Jello Salad

Orange Jello Salad

6 oz Orange Jello

15 oz mandrain oranges drained

8 oz crushed pineapple drained

8 oz mini marshmallows

8 oz cool whip

Instructions: Orange Jello Salad

  • In a large bowl add container of cottage cheese and packet of jello powder and mix well

  • Then drain can of Mandarin oranges and crushed pineapple

  • Add fruit to cottage cheese mixture and mix well adding in marshmallows then folding in cool whip

  • Place in air tight container
  • Let set up in fridge for an hour then serve
