You know the appetizer table with the veggie trays, relish trays, deviled eggs, cheese boards and more? Those appetizer tables were always my late husband Quintin's favorite part of the holiday's. Allowed him to graze and enjoy while us girls put the final touches on the Thanksgiving feast!

Pecan Pie Dip

Ok mama, here is how I made this delicious Pecan Pie Dip.

Ingredients: Pecan Pie Dip

4 oz cool whip half container

8 oz cream cheese

1 cup powdered sugar

TOPPING

1/2 tsp salt

3 tbsp butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup light corn syrup

1 cup chopped pecans

1 egg

1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions: Pecan Pie Dip

Combine room softened cream cheese, cool whip, and powered sugar in a bowl and beat with electric mixer until smooth.

Spread cream cheese mixture along the bottom of the pie plate and refrigerate while you make the topping

Combine brown sugar, cold butter, corn syrup, pecans, vanilla extract, egg, and salt in a saucepan. Bring mixture to a gentle boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, and remove from heat. Allow to cool for 10 minutes, stir, and pour over cream cheese mixture. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
