If you are looking for an easy delicious shredded chicken tacos recipe this is it! It's one you can literally throw in the slow cooker and it does all the work for you! It's a perfect dump and go crockpot recipe that will leave you with smile on your face come dinner time. Not to mention, it only takes 3 ingredients that are already probably in your kitchen right now! I call that a crazy busy mama win, no need to run to grocery store for ingredients you hardly use or can't even find. Just 3 simple ingredients everyone has on hand most of the time.

Ok here is how I made these easy 3 ingredient Shredded Chicken Tacos.

Ingredients: Shredded Chicken Tacos

  • 2 lbs chicken
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 16 oz salsa
  • Optional Toppings for Tacos
  • 12 Tortillas

Instructions: Shredded Chicken Tacos

This one is easy peasy!!

  • This is a true dump and go Slow Cooker meal.
  • In slow cooker place chicken first then pour over taco seasoning and salsa

I love using this black bean and corn salsa. But you can use your favorite jar of salsa any will do.

  • Place lid on slow cooker and cook for 6 hours on low
  • Once chicken is done mix together and shred chicken with meat masher or forks.

Serve this one buffet style so you don't have to dirty any more dishes. They come to the slow cooker and build their taco with all the toppings.

If you are shredding your own cheese, I would highly recommend this CHEESE SHREDDER it is so easy to use, shreds cheese at ease and you can throw in the dishwasher its my absolute fav!

Shredded Chicken Tacos

We shredded lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and sour cream and if we have them avocados.

Side Idea: Tonight we did a simple tortilla chips and salsa. However, you could do some spanish rice as well.
