If there’s one thing every busy mom needs, it’s a quick and easy meal that the whole family will love. Enter: Sloppy Joes! This classic, hearty dish is the perfect balance of savory, saucy, and slightly sweet—plus, it can be whipped up in under 20 minutes. Whether you're feeding a hungry crowd or just trying to get dinner on the table fast, Sloppy Joes are a lifesaver.

Okay, who has a kiddos that refuses vegetables? You know what I am talking about, every vegetable is a battle. You eventually just compromise and tell them they just have to have one bite. There is actually a funny children's book called “Just Try One Bite” that has a comical approach to this topic, it is written as if the parents are the picky eaters. This is just one of the great books that is free from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Project.

If you haven't heard about the Imagination Library, you definitely don't want to miss this! It is a program that is completely free; they gift a book a month to each child registered! A friend of mine told me about it when Missouri was added to their list of states available for this program. My kids are too old for this, the program is available until 5 years old. But, she signed her baby up and has loved this free resource for stocking the bookshelf in her nursery! Over 270,748,534 books have been gifted since the program was founded. Click here to see if it is available in your area!

Reading just one book a day to your child adds up to 1,825 books by their fifth birthday! I always loved the Jesus StoryBook Bible for my kiddos! There is nothing like Bible Stories told in a way even children can grasp!

Okay back to picky eaters and the reason you are here! My family favorite Sloppy Joe recipe!

It is easy to double or triple and you can definitely stretch it for those days you end up with extra kiddos at your house around dinner time!

And mamas, soak up those moments of watching your kids play sports and cheering them on! Soak up getting to watch them do what they love! You will wake up one day and that little 4 year old you just watched run the bases for the first time will be 20 years old. He might still be running bases, but not the way he did at t-ball! So take the picture then put your phone down and BE PRESENT! You will never regret the memories you make!

Picky eaters at home? Sneak some veggies into your Sloppy Joes.

Carrots – Grate or finely dice them; they blend right into the sauce.

Zucchini – Shred and mix in; it disappears into the meat mixture.

Mushrooms – Finely chop or pulse in a food processor for a meaty texture.

Bell Peppers – Dice small and cook with the onions for extra flavor.
