Slow Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage Video
For those of you who love a step-by-step video tutorial, below is one just for you!
Instructions: Slow Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage
Place the corned beef in your crock pot. Top with the seasoning packet that comes with corned beef. Most are not separate; rather, they're marinating already in the package. Take a bit of water and mix it in the package to get all seasoning out for the meat.
Then pour 1 1/2 cups of water on top of the corned beef. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Cut potatoes and carrots and place in slow cooker with corned beef about 3 hours into cooking the corned beef.
Cut your cabbage into wedges. About 7.5 hours in, with about 30 minutes remaining, add your cabbage wedges to the slow cooker and cover.
After about 30 minutes, your cabbage will be ready along with the rest.
While the cabbage is cooking, combine all ingredients for the creamy horseradish sauce in a bowl and mix well. Set aside.
Once the 30 minutes is up and the cabbage is ready, take the corned beef out of the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board. Slice the meat against the grain.
Once you have sliced the corned beef, you can platter it with the veggies or place it back in the slow cooker with the veggies and serve it out of the slow cooker.
Drizzle the creamy horseradish sauce over the top or put it in a serving dish for those who want to enjoy the corned beef with the sauce.
Crazy Busy Mama Tip:
You can plate this delicious dinner on serving platter instead of leaving in the slow cooker, giving the appearance of a hard earned home cooked meal. Learn to work smart instead of hard by using slow cookers to do the work for you! I especially love this BEAUTIFUL SLOW COOKER
Crazy Busy Mama Sides:
I love how this slow cooker meal is packaged with veggies, eliminating the need for extra sides. However, sometimes I do like to add a side salad as well. We also love to add a roll too!
