Parades, parties, fireworks… New Years is such a fun holiday! And it is a much needed holiday, a fresh start; a clean slate! There is something to be said for putting the previous year in the past and taking a step forward into the new year. As much as I don't want to start a new year without Q, I am ready to close the door on 2024. It has been a very difficult year in the Conway house, and I am sure you have faced trials this year as well. So take a step with me; join me in hoping and praying for a great new year!
With the new year holiday comes more traditions. I have heard of many fun traditions for resolutions and change; one friend of mine picks something they want to leave in the previous year, writes it on a piece of paper and throws it in the fire! Another friend of mine writes her resolution on top of each week in her planner for the new year.
This year, I am going to meet my goals with baby steps and a whole lot of prayer. After all, I know I need strength from our Lord to make it through this year and every year!
Other fun traditions are centered around food, my specialty! Black eyed peas, cornbread, pork and GREENS!
For our greens this New Year, I am making stuffed cabbage rolls.
These Cabbage rolls are so tasty, and will be the perfect addition to your New Year's table!
I bet you already have most of the ingredients needed in your pantry!
